The ebook is for sale at US$3.50, which is about AU$5.00, quarter the price of the paperback and there’s no shipping fee. Of course, the trade paperback version at US$15.95 from Amazon is still available for those people that prefer a real book. Trade paperbacks of both RealmShift and MageSign will be available in Australia very soon.
As an Australian I can’t set up a Kindle account directly with Amazon and produce Kindle editions of my books with them, but there is a Kindle version available from smashwords, which is the main reason that I decided to go with them in the end. The other reason is that it’s a quality website, easy to use and they’ve been nice enough to deal directly with me and provide very helpful advice. The one problem may be that the formatting in some versions might be little bit corrupted as the site converts one file into all the various formats. I hope there’s not too much corruption, but even if some of the file is corrupted the main body of text (the novel itself) will be fine.
So if you haven’t read RealmShift yet and you’re either dubious about buying a hard copy or you simply prefer to read ebooks, the opportunity is now here. Get over to smashwords.com and get a copy of the RealmShift ebook. Be sure to come back here and let me know what you think, or send me an email. I’m always happy to hear from readers.
(NB: If you don’t have an ebook reader and plan to download the book for your desktop or laptop computer, then go for the PDF version.)
