Read a few flash fictions and vote for mine

Karen Lee Field, over at Karen’s Desk, is running a little contest. The winner will get a AU$25 Amazon voucher and an ebook version of the short spec fic anthology “Speculative Realms: Where there’s a will, there’s a way”. When you vote on the contest, you are also in with a chance to win the ebook. The contest involved people writing a flash fiction piece (no more than 500 words) and they had to include at least three of the following words:

murder
mystery
fire
gates
cat
warlord
gold
dwarf
planet
ship

Here’s the original post listing all the rules for writers entering and people voting. I decided to man up to the challenge of using all ten words – I’m a bit masochistic like that sometimes. The contest is now open for voting. There are seven stories in the running. You can find all the stories here. To vote you need to sign up with your name and email address (in order to potentially recieve your prize for voting) and answer the single question of which story you liked best. You’ll find the voting details in the sidebar of Karen’s site. Have a read and, if you like my story, give it a vote.

  1. It was a compliment.
And no, I most certainly did not vote for you as I wrote one of the stories (What’s Theirs) and this is a cutthroat competition for that Amazon gift card and book.
We shall be friends again once the competition is over.
