Crossfire podcast read by yours truly

You might remember a little while ago that I posted about recording one of my stories, Crossfire, for the Outlandish Voices podcast. Here’s the post in question.

Well, the podcast has been posted at the Outlandish Voices website now. I have to say, it doesn’t sound nearly as bad as I thought it might. I was dreading hearing myself read a story, but it actually seems to come across quite well. Halinka says it’s very well read, but she’s biased. Crossfire is a light hearted, possibly even a funny little yarn about a guy that doesn’t do so well in his first interplanetary war.

So if you want to hear me read my whimsical sci-fi short story Crossfire, you can find the podcast here. It’s only about 12.5MB. (Incidentally, this story was originally published in The Oddville Press.)

  1. I liked it! I especially liked the Banter between Death and the guy. I really enjoyed it.

It was cool to hear your voice. I always imagined an American accent for some reason. I thought the recording sounded great. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Well, I’m British born and now Australian (for the last 12 or 13 years). Not much chance of a US accent anywhere in there! Glad you enjoyed it.
