Worldcon is imminent

September 1, 2010
By

I’m packing my bags for Aussiecon4. I leave for Sydney tonight, to stay with a mate in order to be up early tomorrow for my flight to Melbourne. It’s really happening. With that in mind, things might be a bit quiet around this site for a week or so. They may not – I intend to blog about the Con as much as possible – but the truth is that these things invariably become a maelstrom of activity and blogging becomes a luxury of time that often can’t be afforded.

However, I do intend to live Tweet as much as possible during the Con, and/or update things quickly through Posterous. With pics. So, check out the Stalk Me box in the right sidebar over there –> and click through to follow me on Twitter. I’ll try to share the Con experience as much as I can.

Also, here’s my schedule of activities for the event, so please come along and support some of these things and say hello. I’m really looking forward to wallowing in the Con experience, catching up with mates, making new friends and generally being immersed in all things speculative. What a laugh! See you there.

Have fun, but watch your back. Grudge Monkey formed a gang in Japan.

He may be on his way to Melbourne to kick some Aussiecon4 ass. That could explain his getting reinforcements.

    Good luck!

I’ve promised GM many words after Worldcon. We have an understanding. But I’m gonna watch out for that gang.

What if Grudge Monkey’s gang is only the beginning? What if his true goal is to form an ARMY? Could it be the beginning to a Planet of the Apes scenario?

YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! OH, DAMN YOU! GOD…DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!

Grudge Monkey, take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!
(I know monkeys are not apes. Shut up.)
