However, I agree that the original does have the edge, in terms of originality (in its day anyway) and although funny at times it is "darker" than the sequels.Definately one of my favourite films and directors (did we watch it at 3a - I am sure we must have?). I seem to remember seeing Evil Dead 3 (Army of Darkness) at the cinema, back in 1992. ahhh – I have the boxset of this trilogy.
