Blatant self-promotion

Guerilla Marketing – as described by Jay Conrad Levinson in his popular 1982 book Guerrilla Marketing, is an unconventional way of performing promotional activities on a very low budget.

Guerilla Marketers Cafe is a website designed to use this method of marketing for authors and it’s somewhere that “Authors and readers mingle.” I’ve just been selected as their Featured Author for September/October 2006. Check out the interview by scrolling down the homepage. While you’re there, have a look around the site. It’s a good place to visit.

There’s also an associated forum for readers and authors to chat about anything they please. It’s called the Literary Lounge, so have a look at that too if you feel so inclined. Sign up and get into some discussions – it’s a brand new forum, so it’s all fresh and shiny.

The Word

Welcome to the website of author Alan Baxter.

I write dark fantasy, sci fi and horror, ride a motorcycle and love my dog. I also teach Kung Fu, hence the Warrior Scribe tag above. A friend once referred to me that way and I liked it, so it stuck. Learn all about me and my work by clicking About Alan just below the header.
